Christmas Eve

Merry Christmas! Last night we re-started the Schippers family Christmas Eve dinner tradition. When my Oma and Opa were alive we would always go to their house on Christmas Eve, eat lots of yummy food, and open presents. But we haven't done it in years. So my dad decided to start it up again. Not everyone was able to come, but several of my cousins and aunts and uncles were there, and it was a blast! My aunt Terrie made the traditional meatball soup and oli bolen. Mmmmm! Uncle Hans and Aunt Penny had ordered this awesome game from Holland. It was fun and addicting! You had to slide these wooden puck things and try to get them in the slots at the end. Here are (from bottom left around) cousin Chris, cousin Kim, uncle Brent, cousin Kevin, uncle Hans, cousin Tim, and aunt Penny. More game playing. Scott, Logan (new bro-in-law!) Deb, Tim, Kevin, and Jack. Go, Scott, go! I'm pretty sure he whooped us all on his first try.

Focus..... focus........ Cousin Jenny, aunt Terrie, Kim, Kim's husband Sean, and aunt Penny. The men (and cousin Scott's girlfriend, Emily) checking out some electronic thing in the corner. How long do we have to play these games, mom? Playing with my cousins' kids. Me and my aunt Penny. Yes, I know I have food in my teeth. Deb's close-up. Logan's close-up. Mine and Scott's close-up. My two favorite boys in the whole world! Cheeeeeeeeeese! (said in a high pitched, squeaky voice) He was being a ham all night long, and he kept posing for the camera and giving this cheesy grin. Love him!
