Last night we went to my Aunt Penny's house to visit with a bunch of relatives, including my dad's cousin and his wife, who were visiting from Germany. We had lots of good food and all hung out in the backyard and had a great time! One of the relatives had a big gorgeous dog there, and he was really sweet. And of course, Jack didn't want to do anything but play with the dog. Well, him and my cousin's little girl must have gotten a little too rough, or maybe Jack pulled his hair or something, but the dog got mad, whipped around, bit Jack in the head, and knocked him to the ground. Scott was 2 feet away, but there was nothing he could've done to stop it. And it wasn't the dog's fault, so I can't really blame anyone. But I sure feel sorry for my baby! : ( He didn't cry too long, and my sweet aunt Penny helped clean him up and told us how to take care of it and what to watch for. Anyway, this isn't the best picture, but it was the only way he would hold still for 2 seconds. All that shiny glare on his forehead is the polysporin on the cuts. You can see where one of the teeth got him up on his hairline, and there's another one right over his eyebrow. We are very lucky he didn't bite an inch lower and get his eye! And the cuts are not deep, so hopefully they'll heel quickly and not scar. Let's just say I won't be trusting him with any dogs for quite a while, unless I'm holding him or the dog.
