Christmas

We had a fantastic Christmas this year! On Christmas Eve we went to the Morris' for a little while for dinner, and then headed over to my aunt Penny and uncle Hans' house for some more goodies and games with a bunch of the Schippers. I totally whooped trash at this really cool Dutch game called sjoelbak (sounds like schulbach). I didn't take any pictures that night, but Deb took some, so you'll have to check out her blog when she updates it (The Riley's). Get on it, Deb!
After that we gathered upstairs with Tyler and Sheena, Deb and Logan, and my dad and Diana for a little gift giving. They spoiled all of us this year. Jack got two Little People sets that he LOVES! Eddie and his big boulder worksite and the animal sounds barn. Then we headed downstairs to open some Christmas pj's, which Jack wasn't the least bit interested in when there were such awesome toys to play with.

Christmas morning we had to wake Jack up before he was ready (and definitely before I was ready!) so that we could do presents before Scott had to go get some work done and make it back in time for breakfast. Yes, work. I know. Jack got this huge bucket of dinosaurs from Santa. It comes with a big playmat, two big vocanoes, trees, rocks, the whole lot. He thought it was pretty awesome. Ignore the strange looking woman in the background. No, that is not a soccer ball stuffed under my shirt. Shush!
He also got some moon sand and a little tube of tiny dinosaurs from Santa, along with Wall-E, one of his new favorite movies.
We still haven't figured out our stupid camera. Well, we really haven't bothered trying much. The lighting was horrible Christmas morning, so they either came out dark and blurry or orange, like below. Oh well.
Jack didn't want to get out of bed that morning until I reminded him of his new Little People tractor. That woke him up in a hurry!
Why does he look so old?!
While daddy got his work done we got all dressed and ready to go to breakfast at the Morris'. Handsome boy!
Grandma found the coolest stockings for the boys this year! Jack's featured his favorite thing. Cars! You push a button and Mater's headlight flashes.
Watching Rudolph and waiting for everyone to show up.
These two are best buds lately. They play so cute together! I think they were trying to see who's bigger here.
And then attacking uncle Brent (Trey's dad). Oh, and of course, Jack spilled orange juice all over his cute shirt at breakfast, so he was in his "painting t-shirt" the rest of the day.
Great Grandma and Grandpa
Grandpa and his favorite thing, Harleys!
Scott is the annual designated gift-passer-outer. If you ask me, he's the most handsome one for the job!
Jayme and Joe
Dee and Brent
Jack was way too spoiled, as usual. He got several smaller gifts from the Morris', but his big gift was the Mickey Mouse Raceway. The really wierd thing was that I knew he was getting this, and then the day before Christmas and all that morning, out of nowhere, he just randomly started talking about it and saying that he wanted to go buy it at the store. It's like he could see the future or something. Hmm. Anyway, he loves it, but he's too impatient to stop and pump up the cars before he makes them go around the track. So mostly he just drives the cars around by hand. He'll figure it out soon enough.

We stayed at their house for 8 hours that day, just eating, hanging out, and playing with all the new toys. We wanted to go down and see my mom (her birthday is on Christmas, too), but the weather was just too nasty, and we didn't want to try to go past the point of the mountain. So we went down the next day and had lunch with her. She gave Jack a huge Planet Heroes spaceship and one of the guys. The main spaceship is almost as big as him and a little too heavy to lug around right now, but it has two smaller spaceships on it that detach, and Jack flies them around several times a day. He really has enjoyed every single present that he got this year. Thank you everyone for making this Christmas so much fun! We love you all!

Awww. Jack looks so handsome! You're right, he totally looks like he's growing way too fast. You'll be amazed at how huge he is when Sophie is born!

Wait until you see Jack for the first time after having Sophie. He will seem so big. I bawled when Gabby walked in the room after having Ella.
