What's this green stuff??

What a beautiful sunny day it was today! Jack and I decided to go play outside for a while. He spent an hour wandering around and exploring. Since he was still tiny last summer, he'd only been outside (out of mom's arms) a coulpe of times before, and only for a few minutes. He wasn't quite sure about the green stuff. He was really nervous about even stepping on it. I had to carry him to the center of the grass and set him down to get him to step foot on it. He preferred wandering back and forth on the sidewalks and stepping carefully on the cracks.

But once he realized that the grass wasn't scary after all, he had some fun stomping on it and feeling the different texture with his hands.
He was also really curious about his shadow. He would walk a couple steps and stomp like he was trying to stomp on it. And then every now and then he would reach down and try to touch it.
What a fun day in the sun! I can't wait for it to stay warm every day!
